Description

A concise, efficient approach to providing a thorough initial orthopedic and neurological patient examination in less than 10 minutes including recording findings! The exam encompasses 90 procedures that can help identify a large variety of pathologies. Exam format reduces the number of procedures necessary based on the findings of initial procedures. The course also includes patient information, problem focused history, case history, health survey, system review and examination findings forms to be used in your practice. The course is designed to help you provide the best possible patient care and reduce the exposure to allegations of malpractice where examination and documentation are in question.

Instructor

Dr. Jeff Miller is a native of Shelby County, Kentucky. He received his Bachelor of Science and doctor of chiropractic degrees from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1987. After graduation he completed post doctoral orthopedic training through Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. In 1993 Dr. Miller became the first chiropractic orthopedic specialist to practice full time in the state of Kentucky and was the youngest chiropractic orthopedist in the country. He is both a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DABCO) and a Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (FACO). In 1997 Dr. Miller completed boards given by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) for designation as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He also holds personal trainer certifications with the NSCA and the American Council on Exercise. Dr. Miller has been in private practice for over 15 years; he has published more than ninety articles in twenty five publications and has written a manual on occupational health, On-The-Job C.A.R.E. In April of 2002 Dr. Miller released a second text Practical Assessment of The Chiropractic Patient published by MPA Media California. Dr. Miller is currently working on a third text detailing clinical and management lessons from his first fifteen years of practice. Three of the nation’s largest chiropractic colleges have appointed him to their postgraduate facilities as an instructor in orthopedics and occupational health. He is also a keynote speaker for a professional healthcare management firm based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dr. Miller’s speaking schedule includes an average of twenty weekend engagements throughout the country each year.
